Pierre Félix KANDOLO

Lawyer

Professor of law, holder of a postdoctorate (postdoc.) in law from the University of Sherbrooke, a doctorate in law (LL.D) from the University of Montreal (Canada). He is also a member of the Bar of Haut-Katanga (DR.Congo), the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights and counsel to the International Criminal Court.

Founder of PFK AVOCATS, Pierre Félix Kandolo is an academic who combines the legal profession with high-level teaching and research. Over and above his highly scientific skills, he stands out for his constant concern for customer service. To date, he has represented many of his clients in criminal, civil, commercial, constitutional and international law matters. To his credit, he has started and completed some 1,000 cases before the Congolese courts. He is open-minded and, in order to take action on behalf of his clients, enters all administrative bodies in the Democratic Republic of Congo and abroad.

A former research and teaching assistant at the Université de Montréal’s Centre de recherche en droit public and a former postdoctoral law student at the Université de Sherbrooke, he was appointed Associate Professor (in 2018), then Full Professor (in 2023) at the Faculty of Law of the University of Likasi. In this capacity, he teaches in several national and international universities, subjects relating to international criminal law, international humanitarian law, human rights, private international law, public international law: international organizations, diplomatic and consular law and research methodology. Previously, he taught subjects relating to Congolese national law such as: general criminal law, special criminal law, international criminal law, contract law, civil law (persons), inheritance and gifts, securities, special questions of civil procedure, etc.

He has taken part in a number of international colloquia and conferences, notably in Strasbourg (at the International Institute of Human Rights), in The Hague (at the International Criminal Court), in Geneva (at the Human Rights Summer University), in New York (at the United Nations Economic and Social Council), in Montreal, in Liège, …
